This half term, from Saturday 24th – 31st October, Robin Hill Country Park, the Island’s award winning attraction, will be open all day and into the night too providing hours of entertainment for the whole family – and a chance for the kids to stay up late too!

By day, Robin Hill boasts a fantastic blend of rides – including the quarter mile downhill toboggan – falconry displays and adventure play for fun loving families and children, plus relaxing woodland gardens, ponds and walks for discerning adults to enjoy.

By night … the park becomes a unique sensory experience with the ‘electric woods’ Festival of Light – a stunning spectacle of creatively themed light, colour, sound, and entertainment inspired by the Hindu Festival of Diwali where ‘light triumphs over darkness’.

As darkness falls, visitors can experience the lush colours, flavours and magic of the Asian sub-continent set in Robin Hill’s glorious autumnal ancient woodland as the spectacular ‘electric woods’ captures the spirit of the most popular festival in the Indian calendar.

Wandering through the ‘electric woods’, visitors can enjoy a spectacular light, sound & fire show which envelopes the new Canopy Skywalk and incorporates fire projectors and illuminated screens to dramatic effect, creating an exciting walk through experience.

The Indian poem, ‘The Ramayana’, which celebrates the victory of good over evil, is creatively portrayed by enchanting cinematic shadow theatre in the woodland amphitheatre – and light installations depicting elephants, stars and peacocks can be discovered throughout the woods.

Plus visitors can take part in Lantern making and Bollywood dance workshops – and join our larger than life Prince Rama and Princess Sita on a lantern parade around our electric woods as a tribute to their home coming in the story of Diwali.

Our Bollywood Dj, Dr Dj, will also be presenting a variety of great Bollywood music and our Bollywood dance troupe will entertain visitors around the electric woods with colourful, high energy performances.

Back by popular demand, visitors will once again be able to embrace the spirit of Diwali by taking part in the Colour Walk – a vividly coloured walk through the otherwise dark woodland glades where, armed with special ‘Holi’ powder, they will ward off evil spirits by throwing burst of coloured powder into the air (and onto each other!)!   All visitors will receive a free pouch of brightly coloured powder to throw whilst on their quest.

And not forgetting our ground breaking new falconry display in the woodland amphitheatre.

The Diwali theme continues across all refreshments with an enhanced authentic Indian menu of curries and kebabs, Asian sweets, and traditional teas; providing a true ‘taste of India’.

With so much entertainment, visitors will benefit from Robin Hill’s ‘free unlimited 7 day return’ valid until Sunday 1st November (when the park closes for the season).

Robin Hill Country Park is open from Saturday 24th – 31st October, 10am – 9pm and 10am – 10pm on Saturdays.
